Lucky Strike vent field - northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge
The Momarsat 2023 cruise was held from July 9 to July 28th 2022 onboard the French research vessel L’Atalante with the ROV Victor6000 at the Lucky Strike vent field - northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge - to carry out the yearly maintenance of the EMSO-Azores observatory.

Bicose 3 campaign

From October 20, 2023 to December 5, more than 30 scientists from Ifremer, CNRS, IRD, Sorbonne University and the Université de Bretagne Occidentale will be on board the Pourquoi pas? as part of the Bicose 3 campaign led by Marie-Anne Cambon. They are studying 5 hydrothermal fields spread over more than 800 km along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, down to depths of over 3,700 meters.

Début 2022, GRHyN accueillait Marion ILLARTIN, alors stagiaire-ingénieure de l’IMT Mines Albi, pour travailler au LMEE sur nos microorganismes producteurs d’hydrogène. Aujourd’hui, son travail acharné et ses solides compétences ont été récompensés par le prix du meilleur stage de fin d’études de la Fondation Mines-Télécom. Elle décroche également le prix « coup de cœur du public » grâce aux nombreux votes.
